Job Description
The media and communication department invites applications for a position of full-time, temporary faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in media literacy, mass media and society, media training, and media history, advise majors on course planning for upcoming semesters, and conduct service in support of the department. Candidates with expertise in media studies or other relevant areas of specialty are encouraged to apply.

Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in mass communication or a related field
- Two years of professional experience
- Previous teaching experience at the college/university level, particularly undergraduate
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in mass communication or a related field
- Experience with community engagement and/or university service
- Experience in and a commitment to teaching in a multicultural environment with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Previous advising and mentoring experience
